Ferry Services Inc., or BC Ferries, is known for its safety, spectacular scenery and for its proud maritime history. What began in 1960 as a two vessel, two terminal operation has grown into one of the largest, most sophisticated ferry transportation systems in the world. The fleet serves a diverse range of communities — up to 47 ports of call — along the coast of British Columbia.

"Before installing Dyson Airblade™, the BC Ferries Departure Bay Terminal used paper hand towels in all washrooms and electric hand dryers in other locations," says Don Cheshire, Operations and Security Centre Manager.

"A Dyson sales manager was touring Vancouver Island and they visited us to see if we needed hand dryers. Following a live demonstration and after reviewing our budget, we were impressed and made the decision to install Dyson Airblade™ at the terminal," recalls Cheshire.

"People’s reactions to Dyson Airblade™ have been tremendous," says Cheshire. Both staff and customers love them! They do a super job of lifting the water off of hands. Most people comment on how soft their hands feel after they have dried them with Dyson Airblade™."
